Happy Wednesday!

What are you up to this fine day? I’m feeling the energy of the warmer weather we’ve recently had and looking forward to lots of Spring-like weather coming up. It feels so good to get back outside!

With many things in life we will probably bump up against the question, “what’s next?”. It could be making dinner and following a recipe, it could be a work project that has lots of points of contact and steps, or it could be a purging and organizing project. We may ask this when we know we can get our hands on the answer pretty quick, or when we really have no idea what to do.

If you are having a “what’s next” kind of moment right now and not sure what the answer is, I feel you. I’m there.

I started this blog with the intention of sharing my love of downsizing, simplifying, purging, and organizing. We’ve chatted about how to know what to keep, how to organize just about anything, having enough, and what you might fill your life up with if you weren’t spending so much time with useless stuff. We’ve shared projects here, here, and  here . I’ve given you something to think about anytime you see a potato chip tin. And we’ve even had a slightly awkward, but super important conversation about planning for death. I could talk about all of these loves and help others to feel it, too, for days.

I’ve learned a TON about setting up a website, posting, email subscription lists, and linking social media. I’ve always been a fairly decent writer, and in the past year have gotten pretty dang good at it. (I sometimes look back at things I’ve written and been impressed!) I’ve put myself outside my comfort zone, developed patience with all things tech, and stretched to do things I would have said no to in the past. I’ve had some fun opportunities come my way, reached people in a way I never have before, and tried out a few things I’ve thought about doing for a really long time. All because of this little blog.

I’m at a point though that I need to re-evaluate. I don’t have a big reach online, which is okay, but the way to grow that involves way more than I am willing to do, as it is not simple. For a while I knew what to do when I asked what is next, but lately I don’t have the answers.

So I’m going to take a break from writing. The website will still be active and you can access any of the blog posts you want to return to. If there are some you find especially helpful, maybe take some notes on those. I just don’t know what the long term plan is for my content at the moment.

I will still be on Instagram, sharing minimizing and organizing tips. Catch up with me there, ask questions, and follow. I am happy to continue sharing and being a force for minimizing and organizing good. Please keep in touch!

Thank you for all your great feedback and interest in Small House Great Love. It’s been super cool to feel like what I’ve shared has been interesting and helpful. I am so grateful for these talents that I have been able to develop and I love to help others whenever I can.
